Important information

Our courses are originally overseen by the Hse, they are Ofqual or Ofsted approved and in accordance with FAA and Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981. Our trainers are evaluated yearly, have a minimum of 10 years experience, receive regular training and are up to date with latest guidelines.

Small groups on site

We can visit you onsite for groups of 2 or more at a minimum cost of 3 candidates

Requirements for an onsite course at your place of work:

  • A television, screen or blank wall for a projector to shine on
  • Floor space for practical
  • Seats for candidates

Number of first aiders/provision/law

Medical

Candidates must be able to kneel on the floor to demonstrate understanding of certain procedures.

 

Clothing

Informal, Loose and comfortable. Candidates will need to take part in practical demonstration on the floor.

Nerves

We understand, to learn and retain information a comfortable relaxed no pressure environment is important. That is why all practical work is done in groups and we ensure you enjoy your day.

Certified

Candidates receive a certificate, wallet card and comprehensive first aid book for future reference.

Requirements for an FAW requalificatiion

The Requalification course is a revalidation of an existing full First Aid at Work qualification. As such candidates must supply their previous First Aid at Work qualification details AND a copy of their current First Aid at Work certificate to us before attending a course. The certificate must have been issued by an Ofqual/SQA/Welsh Government recognised Awarding Organisation/Body, a HSE Approved Training Provider or recognised equivalent.If individuals book on to a course, or are booked by an employer, with a certificate that is nearing expiry, provided their certificate has not expired by more than 28 days then they may join a FAWR course. The full FAW and Requalification FAW qualifications have valid 3 year lifetimes.

Exams

To fullfill Ofqual and Ofsted requirements and receive a 3 year qualification regular assessing and multi choice written papers need to be completed throughout the courses. Adequate training and practice is provided to ensure this is a simple stress free process.
